The Black is Back Coalition for Social Justice, Peace and Reparations is proud to announce our endorsement of Sister Wanda Carson’s electoral campaign for Alderperson in Ward #3 in Madison, Illinois.   Carson was an attendee at the Coalition’s second Electoral Campaign School on April 7 & 8, 2018 in St. Louis, Missouri, where she first learned about the National Black Political Agenda for Self-Determination--the 19-Point Platform developed by the Coalition in November of 2016.   Carson was inspired to run for office on a platform that speaks to the interests of the black community and has since adopted the 19-Point Platform as her own electoral platform.   Sister Wanda completed an endorsement application, which was received on February 28, 2019…

The ‘No to NATO; Yes to Peace’ Festival is a weekend of activities that are being held by World BEYOND War to unwelcome the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) as they meet in D.C. on this same weekend to mark 70 years since their creation.
