  On Saturday, July 23, 2016 the Universal African Peoples Organization and Praying Mothers United will host an Old Fashioned Get Out The Vote Rally in Support of our Missouri StateWide candidates: Cori Bush/United States Senator, Eric Morrison/Governor and Tommie Pierson/Lt. Governor. This event will be held at Greater St. Mark Family Church, 9950 Glen Owen (at Chambers) Ferguson, Mo starting at 6:30pm. Entertainment will include Gospel music/artists, Spoken Word artists and Community and Political Speakers. Along with the general public, elected officials, candidates, organizational and spiritual leaders are invited. We look forward to your attendance. BIB 2016 Elections and The Struggle for Self-determination Photos

The Black Is Back Coalition held its’ National Conference with the theme of the 2016 Elections and The Struggle for Self-determination on April 9th in Harlem, NY. Speakers included the Black Is Back Coalition’s Chairman Omali Yeshitela, Glen Ford of Black Agenda Report, Zaki Baruti of the Universal African People’s Organization, Nellie Bailey of the Harlem Tenants’ Council and others. The event was filled with organizations and individuals from around the country who felt the need to have questions surrounding the 2016 U.S. presidential elections addressed from the perspective of the Black Is Back Coalition.
