School of the Americas Watch in solidarity with Black is Back coalition – Peace through Revolution
From Ferguson to Mexico, Iraq to New York, D.C. to Honduras, and beyond, let us together honor the memories of those killed by the police and military on this Day of the Dead.
Join SOA Watch, Black Is Back Coalition, artists, musicians, and other people from across the country during the Peace Through Revolution – National March & Rally on the White House as we commemorate the victims of colonial violence, the “Drug War”, police brutality, coup d’etats, the SOA, ICE, and other racist policies and institutions that have caused so much death and destruction in the United States, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and other parts of the world.
We will build an altar together with pictures, posters, or any other item that represents the spirit of the fallen. Offerings and pictures symbolizing family, friends, s/heroes, events, countries, places are welcome.
We solemnly and defiantly remember while demanding an end to the militarization and impunity at home and abroad, which is all part of the same system of exploitation that only “serves and protects” the powerful.
The altar will be built at the rally @ Malcolm X park (if raining, @ St. Stephens Church, 1525 Newton St. NW) before a march to the White House.
LOS QUE MUEREN POR LA VIDA NO PUEDEN LLAMARSE MUERTOS
THOSE THAT DIE FOR LIFE CANNOT BE CALLED DEAD
