This request is time sensitive.  Soledad Brother John Clutchette has been granted parole by the parole board FOUR TIMES.  The last three times, California Governor Edmond “Jerry” Brown reversed the grant of parole.  As reasoning, he cited to Mr. Clutchette’s supposed affiliation with the Black Guerilla Family and his association with the late George Jackson and the related historical episode (see attachments).  It is noteworthy that John Clutchette was found not guilty by a 1972 jury of all charges associated with the Soledad Brothers case.  I have spent over a year researching John Clutchette’s story.  I feel strongly that the parole process is being abused in this instance.  Seventy-four-year-old John Clutchette’s fate again rests in the hands of Governor Brown.  I am asking you to do any/all of these:

1.  Write to the governor in March of 2018 (see suggested language and contact information in the below link)

2.  Send Mr. Clutchette a birthday greeting (see address at the end of the below link/he was born on 3/24/43)

3.  Share this communication with your networks and ask for their immediate attention to this help request

Case details (includes suggested language/contact information for Governor Brown & John Clutchette):

Thanks in advance.
